The five cheapest things worth booking

A 60-minute full-body massage is EUR 15. This is the best value on the whole price list and the treatment guests book more than once in a week.

Hair styling is EUR 20 for 60 minutes - worth it for an evening out, not worth it before a beach afternoon.

The Turkish hammam is EUR 20 for a full two hours, which makes it the cheapest hour-for-hour treatment we do.

A classic manicure or a classic pedicure is EUR 25 each, and express lash extensions are EUR 25 for an hour.

Everything on that list is a complete treatment at that price. None of them is a starting figure that turns into something else once you are in the chair.

Why a cheap price here is not a warning sign

Treatments cost less in Hurghada than in Europe because rent, wages and materials cost less, not because corners are cut. A EUR 15 massage here is an hour with a trained therapist, fresh linen and a private room - the same hour that costs four times as much in Berlin or Milan.

What you should still check is whether the low price is the real price. The pattern to avoid is a headline figure that grows at the counter with a "service charge", a "product charge" or an expected tip. Our prices are fixed in euros and include everything.

The one genuine extra is transport: free inside Hurghada, EUR 10 per person from Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh or El Gouna. That is stated before you book, not after.

Getting more for the same money

Combination packages are cheaper than booking the same treatments separately - a manicure and pedicure together, or a facial with a massage, costs less than the two prices added up.

Book two people into the same slot rather than separate ones. It costs the same and you are done in half the wall-clock time.

Avoid the busiest hours if your timing is flexible; late morning is quieter than early evening and you are less rushed.

And a whole week of treatments is more affordable than it looks: a massage at EUR 15, a Turkish hammam at EUR 20 and a classic manicure at EUR 25 is a genuinely good week for EUR 60.
